Collection: Food
I have spent most of of my life in the kitchen. While lots of kids go to summer camps, I went as well, only I went to work in the camp’s kitchen as a prep cook. I broke down 50 lb bags of onions until I had no more tears. I learned knife skills and how to make a 4 foot long cheese omelette on a griddle.
After the camp, I worked in many restaurants as a prep cook, line cook, sous chef, and chef. I worked in corporate holes, family-owned joints, Italian, Continental, and Spanish cuisines. I learned food. Although I haven't professionally cooked in many years, food has enhanced my life and the lives of my loved ones. I like all things about it - the meditation, the discovery, the smiles, the music, the wine, the heat, the dishes.
It’s for this reason that I am creating the food collection.
